My usual working day involves at least 3 cups of tea, 10 minutes after arrive at the office, another around 10am (with my compulsory mid morning snack - usually a banana to attempt to boost my brain power/sugar levels) and then another about 11.15am. This all very much depends on my working day, and what appointments I have, but still...the day doesn't function without tea!
We are lucky in my office, we have a little kitchen area with some basic facilities and a 6 seat table we use for lunch. Making tea is a little bit of a social event, there is usually someone else already waiting for the kettle to boil and we'll chat about family, friends, things we are up to outside work and sometimes messages we forgot to give each other...you name it, we talk about it.
I'm also a tea 'enabler' i'll give away some of my lovely Twinings Assam tea bags to show my colleagues that they shouldn't be scared to be more 'tea adventurous'. My colleagues also have recently amused by my 'Royal teabags' that my friend Hanna sent me as part of a christmas gift. They each have a different royal family member on and are very cool! :)
So my world stops for about 10 minutes, it gives me time away from the computer, time to reflect on the things i'm working on which can sometimes be particularly stressful or difficult and I get back to work with a bit more energy!

I am glad you enjoy them. :) I hope the tea is actually decent too.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about needing your tea at work. I am the same way with that. :)
